The Center for Eating Disorders Management has been providing specialized outpatient treatment for eating disorders since 1988. We take a unique and cutting edge approach to eating disorders treatment by providing comprehensive medical care as well as psychotherapy, medication management, and nutrition services at the outpatient level. We treat children and adults across the spectrum of eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, compulsive exercise, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder.
What does a patient’s treatment consist of?
Our clinical services are very comprehensive. The Center’s multidisciplinary outpatient treatment consists of a team of nurse practitioners and psychotherapists. They provide specialized medical, nutritional and psychological assessments and treatment using a holistic approach. Collaboration with the patient’s primary-care provider continues during treatment. Individual case management with the entire team occurs weekly to ensure on-going evaluation. If more intensive treatment is required, a referral to a day treatment, inpatient, or residential level of care can be arranged.
It is our belief that the keys to success lie in early detection and intervention. We are pleased to offer a caring, supportive environment to clients and their families in our Bedford location as they work towards full recovery.
