Lauri earned her Master’s Degree of Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Akron. Lauri has experience working with couples, children and families; she provides guidance in many specialized areas including autism and Asperger’s, eating disorders, addictions, substance abuse, and victimization issues. Working with individuals and couples interested in achieving personal growth, through the therapeutic process, couples can address conflict and communication issues, and other relationship concerns. Lauri has experience working in therapeutic settings; both out-patient and residential. Her training, experience and interest are in the following areas; Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Mindfulness and Relaxation Skills, to name a few. She strives to help individuals and couples achieve their goals toward mental and emotional growth to benefit their lives and better reach the self goals they have in mind for themselves.
Lauri believes in a holistic approach to health and that all components of one’s’ life are interrelated. She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, golf, reading, and crafting.
My passion is working with couples and families. After earning my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from The University of Akron, I have worked with individuals, couples, children, and families, providing guidance in specialized areas such as: Couples with special need children, Couples and family counseling, Eating disorders, Addictions, Substance abuse, Victimization issues.
My training, experience, and interest are in the following areas: emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and relaxation skills. My expertise is in guiding couples to have the right conversations that help them identify the cycles that are interfering with them feeling close to one another. I help couples and individuals to maintain healthy connections with all the people in their lives.
I help couples and families to have the right conversations that ensure they feel important to each other; I have experience with finding the path that helps one connect with others so they are aware that the relationships in their lives will enable them to never feel alone again.
