Psychotherapist
Megan Drake is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing therapy to children, adolescents, young adults and families. My goal is to make counseling an engaging environment where clients feel heard while fostering insight and exploration of positive coping skills. My style is collaborative, empathetic, and direct. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy emphasizing the connection between the mind and body. In my practice, I utilize a strengths-based approach incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Family Based Therapy (FBT). I work with clients with a variety of diagnostic profiles including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD and adjustment-related issues. My education includes earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University. I have experience working in various treatment settings including emergency services, schools, in-home therapy, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming.
